Advice for Spray Tans Please

Afternoon all,

Just wondering if you could advise me please. I had a professional St Tropez spray tan done last week, absolutely love it, golden and even all over and it's given me a bit of body confidence back.
While it's lasted over a week (which the beautician said it would.) it's obviously now beginning to go patchy, she said to exfoliate gently as it fades to stop it becoming too patchy.

I just wondered what I need to do between tans?

Online it says to exfoliate and moisturise before getting one but that's when you're still a blank canvas. So before I go and get another one done, do I need to scrub off all the old one so it's fresh skin again? Do I just exfoliate the old tan a little and then she'll even up the bits that have worn off? What's the best process between sprays is what I need advice on please?

Have left her salon a message for a new appointment but I didn't want to look silly by asking so many questions Smile

Thanks all

I would defo ask the salon. They won't mind. I often wonder this about the patchness between tans but I tend to go a few weeks between as I can't afford them often. So then the patches have gone. The thing about a spray tan is that I cant have a lovely bath with one!

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah definitely not enjoying not being able to have a nice long soak, but it's worth it Smile

You need to scrub off the old tan before having a new tan. You can get exfoliating mitts, scrubbing sponges or a tan remover. Usually after a week-10 days the tan has faded & you can exfoliate the rest off.

It's been nearly two weeks now and where my bra strap sits is completely white as are my feet too.

I shall go at it with my exfoliating mitts Grin
