Hair dye question

I use majirel 6.1 with 20 vol developer mainly to cover greys. I like the colour. However, in the sun, the colour lifts and turns quite brassy. I normally only do my roots, so the length is turning quite orange now. I know I could do the whole length of the hair, but I’m worried adding more dye/developer will damage the hair and also lighten it more quickly on the sun. Can I mix majirel with conditioner and apply that all over so there is no more bleaching effect? I hope I’m not rambling too much. Thanks

No as the developer is required to activate the colour.
I would just use the lowest developer you can get or alternatively L’Oréal have semi permanent tints in the same colour range which are mixed with lower vol developer. I usually use these on the ends every 6 months or so to refresh the colour there.

Hope that helps!

The brassy look is from the developer that is used in hair dye and the pigment washing away over time. You need to refresh your colour. Majirel won’t trash your hair -it will look nice refreshed.
