I have this jumpsuit

Not sure if it suits me, see attached pics. I am 5' 7, size 10/12. What do you think? Accessories, shoes?

Add a straw bag, layered silver bangles and lose the necklace.

Red lipstick too to up the Frenchiness.

This could so work- it just needs dressing down.

IwankaTramp · 10/07/2018 19:07

THE silhouette of the of the OP’s one is much more flattering and fashionable than the tapered one which looks very Coleen Nolan on a cruise.

Onwhitehorses · 10/07/2018 19:08

I hope you dont mind me saying, but it looks very ageing, it's the pattern and the looseness together. One or the other looks fine, so patterned with tapered legs in the pics above, or this one from Boden which is floaty but plain:

IwankaTramp · 10/07/2018 19:13

THAt Boden polyester one is very bank cashier on night out straight from work.

TroubledLichen · 10/07/2018 19:17

I don’t mind it but it needs to be with flat sandals or maybe trainers. Sorry but the heels look awful.

makeupmaven · 10/07/2018 19:20

The jumpsuit is nice, but those heels are too fussy.

Because of the simplicity, you'll want low-key shoes, whether you're dressing it up or down.

For daytime, neutrally hued sandals and a denim jacket.

For evening, either nude pointed flats or heels and a leather or suede jacket in black (or another dark-ish colour, like deep forest green).

makeupmaven · 10/07/2018 19:21

Also, no necklace. You'd suit gold more, if you want to add jewellery.

Thiswayorthatway · 10/07/2018 19:23

Thanks all. So style (wide as opposed to tapered legs) good but pattern bad? I do think the pockets accentuate my hips but I know they're not big so that doesn't really bother me. Would prefer a dressy/going out style rather than going to the shops. Not happy with any of my shoe choices to be honest. Not paying £140 to Boden, any other suggestions much appreciated xxx

OP, you look like you have a lovely figure.

For heavens sake please do not wear this jumpsuit. It is very mumsy

Caribbeanyesplease · 10/07/2018 19:26

Plain navy.
With gorgeous jewellery.

Caribbeanyesplease · 10/07/2018 19:27

V neck

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 10/07/2018 19:28

It's not great OP, plus it looks too short. You have a fabulous figure and could find a MUCH nicer jumpsuit than that.

Plain with a tapered leg, maybe a silk jersey/similar fabric so it drapes a bit more.

A tapered leg style would look okay with a strappy heel or flat sandals.

icelollycraving · 10/07/2018 19:31

It is a bit middle aged lady with the heels.

Confidenceknocked · 10/07/2018 19:37

If you’re under 50 it’s a no, over 50 it’s lovely. Either way, sandals not heals and needs some accessorises to make it a bit less dull.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, I can tell you have a fab figure though!

snowsun · 10/07/2018 19:42

It needs to be worn with flat sandals.
Trousers flapping round the ankle with heals is a definite no.
It's a sensible cut / style. I wouldn't wear it and I'm in my 50s.

AsTheMilesTheyDisappear · 10/07/2018 20:06

Definitely flat sandals. The heels kill it.

retainertrainer · 10/07/2018 20:07

The problem with the heels is that the trouser length is too short. Other than that I like it.

cutewithsharpteethpossibly · 10/07/2018 20:14

I think it's gorgeous and love it with the wedges, I would certainly wear it if I had the figure!

skippy67 · 10/07/2018 20:27

*lovely if you're over 50". Um, I'm over 50 and I wouldn't wear it...

AnyFucker · 10/07/2018 20:36

I am over 50 and wouldn't be seen dead

Judydreamsofhorses · 10/07/2018 20:38

I think it would look better if it was cropped, and then worn with trainers. There are lots of much nicer things which would look super on you, OP, you have a great figure, but that doesn’t do it justice.

sirmione16 · 10/07/2018 20:45

Can't believe how many people say no to heels?! Trouser legs, high waist and heels and the ultimate leg extender/bum toner/waist accentuater. I love it with the brown heels. Personally the black and black/cream are too harsh for the print of the jumpsuit. Alternatively a metallic shoe would work lovely tooSmile

lurkingfromhome · 10/07/2018 20:48

I find it quite insulting that we apparently lose all sense of style as soon as we turn 50 and should just wear any old shit that a younger person would dismiss as unstylish and somehow not get ideas above our station. WTF is that about exactly?

halfwitpicker · 10/07/2018 20:56

No way is anyfucker over 50!!

halfwitpicker · 10/07/2018 20:57
