Seriously I’m so sick off them, to the point I have a magnifying mirror to get them out.
There are more tiny ones under the skin rather than the ones you can see and easier to get out
I’m literally obsessed by them, every night with my mirror, there never ending

I’ve bought lots of names expensive products Clinique, clarins, dermatological etc even using cetiphil now face wash and non comedogenic face cream!!! Not workingBlush

I’ve used toners after washing, but they dry my face out too much
So I get dry skin then, so use the cetaphil moisturer.

As any other suffer managed to rid of them? I’d be so happy and to be whitehead free SmileSmileSmile

Are you sure they're not sebaceous filaments?
If they're particularly on and around your nose, that's probably what they are.

travailtotravel · 09/07/2018 22:19

I found my skin cleared up heaps with using a flannel to exfoliate and leaving off any product at bed for a while. In this hot weather I think it doesn't do my skin good to have layers and layers of stuff on it.

granadagirl · 09/07/2018 23:53

Not just nose area. If i dont put moisturiser on my skin is dry.
So i put as little cetiphil on as possible now.

Peed off with it

Can you share a photo then I can tell you what they are? It Sounds like sebaceous filaments to me

First of all- join “Dr Sams Skincare Club” on fb - we will help you .

Secondly - for inflamed Whitehead’s a Benzol peroxide treatment like Duac or Acnecide from either the Gp or Boots acne clinic online would be helpful . I highly recommend this option - pm me If you need help getting it .

If they are NOT inflamed whiteheads you need a BHA - a Salicylic product like La roshe posey effeclar duo will likely help or Paulas choice bha 2%

Stop using all these OTT products and wasting money on expensive department store brands which don’t do much due to low active amounts .

Catsandkids78 · 10/07/2018 00:04

An ideal routine would be :

am : cleanser - gentle like LRP Toleriane - no rubbing or scrubbing

  • BHA
  • hydration serum
  • sunscreen

PM

  • cleanser
  • hydrating serum
  • entry level retinol like LRP redermic
  • moisturizer

Whiteheads or Milia?

granadagirl · 10/07/2018 23:44

Hi
Thank you for your comments
If I took pic you wouldn’t see them really without magnifying mirror,
I’ve looked up milia and pic
Definitely not these

Will try the LRP products, and hope to see an improvement Smile

Ive been using "The Ordinary" products. Has works wonders so far. I use the lactic acid 10% overnight and it keeps my skin exfoliated so nothing builds up underneath.

Monty27 · 11/07/2018 04:37

I have had this. I tried forcing them out and that didn't end well ie torn skin. But when I did succeed in getting them out they were like little stones. I never did get to the bottom of it despite googling like mad.
I haven't got any at the minute. I am none the wiser.
I did take to using face washing stuff from body shop but it was somewhat of a war Confused

granadagirl · 20/07/2018 18:06

So at the point now if getting sterilised needleConfused

What the hell are these that won’t come out! Even with squeezing
I had one near my nose, and after weeks I managed to get it out
But
It was like a hard ball !!!!

They sound like milia.

MeganChips · 20/07/2018 19:58

I used to have these and they’re really annoying. Always on my cheeks, never anywhere else. I second acnecide and the ordinary lactic acid.

Both of these have been brilliant for me, my skin is really clear and glows. I never thought I’d be able to say that.
