My hair is falling out due to hormones but my hair is thirsty and in desperate need of some good conditioning .

Can anyone recommend a good one ?

The palmers hair masks are good, I've used them a few times. They don't make your hair too silky after using them either which is good as I have very fine hair. You get a few different kinds. They do a sachet so not overly expensive if you just want to give it a go. You will get probably 2 uses out of a sachet.

My hair, for different reasons, is also in need of a mask. I googled and apparently keratase is a cult product for this. There's a tub for thick hair and another for fine hair. It's expensive but on sale at some sites. I'm awaiting mine in the post for £21.

An Asian girl I used to work with had the most amazing hair.

Warm an egg cup full of olive oil, only warm not hot.

Rub in your hair and scalp.

Put a plastic bag over your hair and do a turban with a small towel over the plastic bag.

Leave for 10 - 15 mins.

Shampoo well twice.

Don't condition.

Philip Kingsley Hair Elasticiser is amazing. My hair can be very dry and this makes it lovely, shiny and bouncy.

I would add, I use far more than is recommended. I put loads on but it really works.

My hair is very similar. Try the Osmo range- you can get it in Sally’s but much much cheaper on amazon- the deep conditioner mask is about £7 for 1200ml- I use it as my normal conditioner... their leave in conditioner is good so- doesn’t make hair sticky or leave residue

I've just started on biotin capsules, apparently good for hair growth.

I like the Bodyshop banana hair mask- smells divine (if you like the smell of banana).

Thanks for the recommendations ladies :)

I too have been told about biotin , my friend had terrible bald patches which have almost vanished after 6 months of taking biotin!! I did actually buy some a few weeks ago so I must start taking them !

When I want to give my hair some TLC I use Olpalex Number 3 Hair perfecter. It's pricey for a small bottle but it really works, makes hair lovely and soft. I massage it through my hair when it's dry before bed and in the morning I rinse it in the shower then use your usual shampoo and conditioner to finish. You also shampoo hair first, towel dry, then apply the Opalex, leave it in for 10 mins, then shampoo again and use conditioner to finish. I just feel the overnight method once a week works just a little bit better Grin

Philip Kingsley elasticiser is fab.

Olaplex no 3 is a protein treatment, it helps to maintain the bonds in the hair so you’ll still need a moisture treatment too if you have dry hair.

I use a keratin mask. It's called Alf Lisse Rehydrating Mask. My hair is super super soft.
