Glasses for a round face

Well, I've finally got round to booking an optician's appointment, as my 54 year old eyes are not what they were!
I am fairly certain that I will be advised that I need glasses.
But what shape glasses/ what frame styles would suit my round, full face?

Squarish ones are usually recommended, I've got large square ones for my round face. But the dispensers can usually advise...

Yes, squarish, or cats eye and you want the widest part to be as wide as possible.

I've just picked out new glasses for my round 50ish face today. I found that I preferred the temples to angle up a bit slightly, but the lower part of the frame needed to be wide enough and not too rounded. More rectangular shapes were better, round shapes look awful.

The ones I picked were similar to the third example in this link

Yes squarish rectangle ones, I've just had to invest in varifocals Shock

Mine are sort of rectangular with rounded corner but the bottom is narrower than the top

I have cat's eye ones that go up ever so slightly (in the hope it gives a subtle face lift ha ha!)
