I'm going away soon and want to treat myself to some new perfume at the airport. I don't want to give myself a headache by smelling too many! I've recently finished a bottle of Robert Cavali eau de parfum which I really liked. Other fragrances I have loved over the years are Chanel Allure and No. 5, Narciso Rodriguez (the original one) and older favourites would be the now discontinued Dolce & Gabanna for women, Samsara and Opium (again, the original scent)

I'd love some recommendations for similar scents so that I can just try a few and treat myself without feeling overwhelmed!

TBH, it depends on which airport you are going to; some have extensive DF but the smaller ones don't. Can you check what counters they have and skip by to try before you go?

I second that. Chanel Gabrielle is divine.

Thank you, I'll have a sniff of that for starters!

If you're going somewhere nice and warm and resort-ish, Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess skin scent is very summery and holiday-ish. Sali Hughes recommended it in the Guardian Weekend a few weeks ago. I bought some and it is a lovely scent for summer. Not too heavy.
