The bra intervention - help please!

I’ve been wearing a 32C for years and have put on a little weight in that time, taking me from a 10 to a 10/12. I think I was measured in M&S a few years ago and was told I was a 32D but the Ds were too big, but I can’t remember really.

Anyway I need some new bras so decided to do the bra intervention using the boob or bust method seen on here. And my suggested starting size was a 30G!! I was shocked as my breasts are really quite small, they don’t even look like a D although now my C cup feels rather small!

Have any of you done this and had a similar result? What starting size should I buy?

Thanks in advance 😊

It gave me 40 HH but by the time I found one that actually fitted it was a 40F, use that as a starting point and go down a cup until you find one that fits

Thank you @goose... I don’t think I can use an H as a starting size as I just won’t fill it!! Maybe a D...

Any other experiences/words of wisdom?

I would suggest you use a G as a starting size and work down if needed. A proper fitting bra will feel very different. The band will be tighter but it will provide more support. It depends how your breasts hang and if they are fuller at the bottom as to what size will fit. Also remember to scoop all of the breast tissue into the cup, some can end up under your arms.

Don't forget that the volume of a 'D' cup gets smaller as the band does. Not all D (or G ) cups are equal Wink

Maybe I need to get measured properly... I’m quite excited about having a bra that fits properly as my current bras clearly don’t even though I think they look and feel ok. In terms of support I’ve not really thought much about I as I’ve always had relatively small and firm breasts that have never caused me a problem. I ride horses in a normal bra rather than a sports bra and it’s fine. But it sounds like I need a bit of an overhaul. Where is best to get measured that doesn’t cost the earth?
