What would you wear to this?

Am looking for some advice, have zero fashion sense and am plus size. Am going to a concert with dh plus one of his clients and his wife. This will be some sort of corporate thing (which I've never been to) and I've no idea how to put an outfit together. Dh says there will be a dress code but usually jeans are allowed but smart I.e. no ripped jeans.

Am now freaking out....What would you wear? Could be lots of standing and walking so I'll need to be comfy but don't want to look frumpy. I usually go for black jeans with a blazer as that's what I'm comfy in but how could I dress it up/make it more interesting?

Or would you wear something different? Dress?Confused

Thanks in advance

Hi OP when you say plus size, can you narrow that down a bit as it affects which stores we can suggest outfits from.

Dress code for an Eminem concert 😁
Black jeans and blazer sounds good if that's what you're comfortable in. I'd be focusing on interesting jewellery and bright lipstick if it was me.

Hahaha I know...maybe I should rock up in trackies and my air force 1s Grin

Um size 18 ish depending on the shop...probably 20 in next. Have horrid legs so don't like anything too skimpy but will fake tan so that could help.

The o2 isn't a dressy venue. Jeans, nice top, jacket and nice flats would be fine. Wouldn't wear a dress.

Jeans and blazer sounds perfect. I'd wear a nice silky vest top underneath so you can take jacket off. Or jeans and a top like this and simple jewellery

Hi OP, I'm the same size as you and have been to many corporate shmoozes at the O2, as I used to work in music PR.

wear black or dark blue jeans, with your blazer (sleeves rolled or pushed up to 3/4 length) with a flowy cami like this, in whatever plain colour you like best
www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/black-strappy-cami-top/av937/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=7205#colour:Black,size:

If you are a jewellery type of person a chunky or layered metal necklace and multiple metal bracelets will give it a bit of shine for the evening.

For cool points, wear trainers (eg converse or new balance if you have anything like that) otherwise ballet pumps or whatever flat shoes you like will be good. Please don't feel obliged to wear towering heels if you aren't absolutely comfy in them, they really aren't the norm for an event like that.

Ah thanks guys, that is exactly what Id have worn if I had my choice. I've got this cami www.asos.com/prd/8723102 with a black blazer with gold zips on the pockets but just think its too much black.

I'd love to wear flats as not at all comfy in heels but don't feel like I can pull of trainers with a smart jacket? Was thinking some sort of gold sandals. Don't really wear jewellery as again am clueless. I'll probably go find one of those long necklaces with a simple pendant on like this www.asos.com/prd/10009539 (hope those links work)

Thanks again anyways at least I'll feel more confident now and not too over or under dressed
