Cyst like spots

I'm sure I read someone mention that those hard spots you get under your skin that never get a head but stay for ages have a name and someone recommended something to put on them? Can anyone remember please? Thank you!

I have one of these, I put tea tree oil on it and it seemed to shrink. i do this with skin tags and it works really well.

The only stuff I've found that works is prescription drugs, but others have had success with La Poche Rosay and Effaclar stuff and
