Birkenstock EVA

I need some new Birkenstocks but I don't have the money to buy the usual ones I get. I have seen Birkenstock EVA and they are only £25 so I'm looking for the catch!!
Are they OK for every day use? Some reviews have said yes, some have just said they are good for the beach.
Do they fit the same as regular Birkies?
Are they comfy?
Do they make your feet really sweaty? Or have I just discovered a hidden gem?? Grin
TIA

I live in mine in the summer. I find them comfortable and live in town. Ok maybe not the most stylish look but I have tan leather sandals for that need.

you cant compare £25 eva birks to £60 leather birks because the material is different so its not a like for like in terms of thinking these as a bargain.

However for plastic sandals they are great; lightweight, not sweaty, washable and comfortable. I found they size small compareed to corkbed birks though.

I find mine a bit sweaty if I'm sitting around in them and probably wouldn't wear them all day every day like I would the cork kind. They're otherwise comfy though.

Thanks everyone. TBF I don't go out much (agoraphobic), and am barefoot the rest of the time. The furthest I go is a 20min school run round trip or a 25min dog walk round the block a couple of times.

Maybe I will give them a go, even if it's just until I can get a cork pair again!!

I love mine. I bought an emergency pair during a weekend away and I've since walked miles in mine. Really comfy.

I bought them for 2 of my children. They are really comfortable but a bit more sweaty than the standard ones.

Just got mine today. Super happy with them! Very lightweight. Just went for a dog walk and they were very comfortable

I have some in orange and love them. Blissfully comfy, easy to clean and not sweaty. I've also never had so many compliments about my shoes!

SarfE4sticated · 08/07/2018 00:25

I like them, but as others have said, they are sweaty. Great for pool, beach etc though.

Have a look on Amazon for some Birkenstock-a-likes. Can't remember the brands but if you look for Birks they usually come up as suggestions. Much cheaper than the real thing. Oak and Hyde do some lovely leather ones in lots of bright colours too.

Brakeburn have some lovely ones with cool prints - boats/flowers etc think they are £35 but v comfy.

Thanks for that, I'll check out those places to see what they have Smile
