At a wedding (day and evening) in a few weeks and quite like these, which do you all think is the nicest?

I already have red strappy heels and a red bag to use.

I'm 5' 7", size 8, fairly small chested.

Don't really want to spend more than £40 on a dress but if you have any other suggestions please send them my way Smile

P.S. The first two are navy - just noticed they look black on the screenshots! Grin

They are all beautiful. I think I like the third one best - but I've always been a sucker for florals.

Growingboys · 06/07/2018 23:25

The first. The middle ones a bit boring for a wedding.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 06/07/2018 23:27

The first one.

Thank you very much for your replies Smile

Anyone else?! Grin

First or second but definitely not no 3

I’m not a sucker for florals!

TroubledLichen · 07/07/2018 05:35

No.3, the floral one looks sorry to say really cheap and I’m not convinced strapless is that appropriate for the day, especially not if it’s a church ceremony. No.1 is classic and not too plain but I’m not loving the idea of red accessories with it as it’s a bit French flag for me... with navy or perhaps silver shoes it would look amazing though. But if you’re committed to the red shoes/bags then go for no.1 which is a gorgeous dress although it’s a little Meghan Markle at a funeral, the red would likely lift it and look great though.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 07/07/2018 05:55

I would prefer the middle one and maybe add a metallic belt.

BarbaraWarpecker · 07/07/2018 06:01

All lovely, and wedding appropriate - tho, if there's dancing, they're all quite restricting ( depending on your moves).
Order of preference, 1,2,3.

CountFosco · 07/07/2018 06:06

Agree with Iwould, I like the plain blue one best and think a contrasting belt (not red if your shoes and bag are red) would look great. I also think as it's got the least embellishment on the dress it will have the greatest longevity because new accessories will ring the changes when you wear it to different events.

Not that keen on the extra flappy bit on the floral dress and think the white trimming on the first dress will ultimately date it when the fashion for frills declines. Looks fantastic at the moment though.

foxssoxareinthebox · 07/07/2018 06:10

Number one it’s gorgeous. Number 2 is a bit plain.

WhatToWear12345 · 07/07/2018 07:14

Oh some very mixed opinions! Seems like it's a toss up between 1 and 2 so far though...
@TroubledLichen I did wonder myself about it being strapless - it's not a church wedding but I still had second thoughts as to its appropriateness.

Or if anyone else could find me another dress in my budget then I could maybe stretch to a new pair of shoes Grin I have clutch bags in various colours, got a lovely cream Ted Baker one I like to use.

I love the first one. I think it would look great with red shoes and bag, very classic and stylish.
The second is a bit too plain and the 3rd is a little too holiday/clubby.
