Oasis sizing. ?? Changed ?

Hi. I went into Oasis last month and bought quite a few new things in a size 10, I’ve lost 4.5 stone so the lovely lady helped me pick the right sizes as I’m not used to my new shape. Lovely stuff.

So, because I need a whole new wardrobe (yey me) I’ve bought a few tops for work from eBay in a size 10, but they are all very snug.

So has the sizing changed ? I may get a 12 for older stuff if it has. Thanks you.

Ive always found it quite variable. I have 12s that are quite tight, and others that are looser.

Stuff on EBay may well have been washed a few times - so many things shrink a bit.

Well done on the weight loss!

You have to try on these days I’m afraid as sizing is so variable

Thanks, yes I’ve found sizing is just bonkers these days. I have no idea what I am now!

You can't really trust eBay sizes unless you know the item well and tried it on at the time it was for sale. People are selling it as they bought it and it didn't fit, it's been washed and has shrunk (viscose) or they're bored of it. I've bought many an item on eBay only to have had to resale due to being absolutely tiny!

Oasis has always been snug fitting ime. I am petite but I struggle with size 10 in there at times. Don't even start me on Gap! Madness. Then there's Zara. Primark is always huge. shakes head in frustration
As for Next it's down there with m&s for grumpiness. Tsk

Frumpiness I mean

Sizing has definitely changed.

When I go shopping now, I have to wear a size six.

I have size 8 clothes in the loft from c.10 years ago that I cannot get past my thighs - and I'm heavier now than I was 10 years ago.

I wouldn't buy off eBay unless it's something you've seen for sale recently.

I think oasis are on the smaller size. I'm usually a 10 in tops but sometimes need a 12 in Oasis and Warehouse. But maybe the things you've bought on eBay have shrunk with washing? It's always worth asking more measurements when buying on eBay.

*for measurements
