Is it possible to get prickly heat on the face but nowhere else?

My poor face is red, full of little bumps, I'm getting whiteheads. The only time it feels better is if I splash cold water on it.

I think you can get it anywhere, I get it on the insides of my arms and DH get it on his chest, it does seem to just appear in the same certain places each time. Is it itchy as prickly heat generally is, if not in could be polymorphic light eruption which I got on my foot this week and was only very slightly itchy but red and spottyish.

I have PLE on the sides of my feet no where else always on my feet every summer. It is uncomfortable.

Daughter gets prickly heat on face if she sleeps on synthetic pillow slips. We always use 100% cotton sheets and covers to helps prevent it. It is also aggravated by some suncreams. Sad

Ultrasun suncream I find is good for stopping the rashes from the sun, some other makes seem to cause them, it might be a case of trying different sun creams to see what suits best.

I have a silk pillowcase but use a memory foam pillow so I'll swap to the microfibre pillow instead.

I use lrp factor 50 dry touch gel. Used it for years.

Dh is out buying me calamine & I have a wrapped up ice pack on my face.

Just in case anyone else is suffering calamine lotion has reduced all the rash/inflammation by 50% overnight.

Yes, I get it face only. It’s horrific. Anywhere else can be covered.
