I'm looking for a nice citrusy perfume (more orangey than lemon though) but something that also has some sweetness and warmth! Does something like this exist?

Bvlgari Omnia Indian Garnet. Sweet orange with a warm fluffiness of amber.

Oh lovely thank you I'll definitely try to smell this one! I already LOVE bvlgari femme (now called iris something or other) thank you 😊

Not orange or lemon, but Pamplelune by Guerlain is a wonderful sweet, soft grapefruit. Just enough edge to cut through the air on hot days but not remotely bitter.

I generally don’t like the grapefruit smell or taste but this is one of my summer favourites.

Nanasueathome · 05/07/2018 20:33

Jo Malone, Orange Blossom

Nanasueathome · 05/07/2018 20:34

Jo Loves, Orange Butterflies

mintmagnummm · 05/07/2018 21:43

Oh thank you Gertrude that sounds gorgeous, I'll definitely check that out 👍🏻.

Nana I think there's a jo Malone shop near me so I can sniff that one but not sure where I'd smell the other one you mentioned? Is it available in shops??

Jo Malone: orange Blossom or Basil and Neroli

kaldefotter · 05/07/2018 21:50

I’d recommend ordering a discovery set from Atelier Cologne and trying some of their citruses like Orange Sanguine, Clementine California and Pomelo Paradise (ateliercologne.eu).

Shay and blue blood orange! It's amazing, really zesty and punchy when first sprayed and dries down to a more mellow/creamy orangey smell.

Fuckthisforfun · 05/07/2018 21:58

Meant to say the Shay and Blue blood orange is stocked in larger M&S stores so you can try it out. 😊

Zebrasmummy · 05/07/2018 22:26

Jo Malone, Earl Grey and Cucumber. The bergamot is citrussy, but not obvious and the cucumber freshens it up.

Hermes eau de merveilles

LadyOfTheCanyon · 05/07/2018 23:10

Hermes L'eau d'orange vert. Crisp, expensive, cologne type unisex fragrance. Makes you think of exclusive villas in the Med.

welshmist · 05/07/2018 23:14

I like Calyx in this hot weather, the spray and the body lotion.

musicmum75 · 05/07/2018 23:18

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Neroli Bianca

BlueKittens · 05/07/2018 23:39

Shay and blue blood orange (lots of 10ml on eBay- was in the M&S advent)

Atelier cologne fragrances (shop in Covent Garden)

For cheaper options (still good) the Monothermes availabile in M&S are very good (there are a few citrus ones to try)

Also the Italian location based citrus fragrances produced by Acqua di Parma eg Calabrian bergamot

ChishandFips33 · 06/07/2018 00:32

Clinique Happy?

woodhill · 06/07/2018 00:35

I'm very impressed with the blood Orange by Shay which was a freebie in the M&S calendar. Just lovely

Nanasueathome · 06/07/2018 05:02

Jo Loves is available at Space NK I believe

mintmagnummm · 06/07/2018 10:54

Thanks so far everyone! Just to report back that I tried the shay and blue blood orange this morn in my local m&s, loved it at first but I don't like the dry down :-( smells a bit too musky. I'll try to sniff the other suggestions when I can x

Gucci Flora Mandarin - sweet, fresh mandarin with a light, white floral dry down. Its a very light, summer appropriate EDT, but lovely.

Chloe Love Story. Lots of orange blossom. Lovely.

mintmagnummm · 06/07/2018 17:35

Oooh thanks 3D should be able to smell those ones easily in boots!

Roger and Gallet do a nice once called Cedrat. They do body lotion soap etc but also a spray which is surprisingly long lasting and refreshing, in this weather.

Jo Malone’s in John Lewis now.
