Next is fine actually and do lots of things for different age groups including brands. Asos is good. Me and em [expensive] Cos.
Topshop is fine too if you choose selectively.

BigFatBloomers · 05/07/2018 12:15

neveradullmoment99 · 05/07/2018 12:17

Seasslt/toast/cos is quite popular. Hobbs looks good on all ages.

Ellapaella · 05/07/2018 12:19

I'm 39 and still shop at TopShop!
I like Warehouse, H & M and Primark. I also get a lot from Hush when budget allows.

Wishfulmakeupping · 05/07/2018 12:22

Yy to Warehouse, oasis and next. Plus Mango?

tabytha · 05/07/2018 12:26

I don't think I'm thin enough for Cos.

Mango's a good shout!

You might find the odd thing in Gap and there is also Uniqlo for basics.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/07/2018 12:36

If you like boho although quite pricey anthropologie has gorgeous things.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/07/2018 12:37

This is lovely:

I'm 33 and usually a 12 but currently 14 after baby. I like Oasis, Warehouse, the other 'trendy' concessions in Debenhams/H of F and JL, I'm not sure what they are actually called, and also Dorothy Perkins is OK. Online I like Hush.

Primark has such a range it suits all ages and shapes as sizes and occasionally has the perfect thing that nowhere else has.

Kenworthington · 05/07/2018 12:57

God I’m nearly 43 and my fave shops are topshop and H&M!

Fairylea · 05/07/2018 13:00

Please don’t get into the trap of thinking you’re too old for shops!! Plenty of nice stuff in most mainstream shops whatever age you are. Shop for your shape - show your best bits! - and you won’t go far wrong.

I am 38 and a size 14 and mainly shop in h and m and asos.

EssentialHummus · 05/07/2018 13:03

Mango / H&M from me - and I’m the same age and size.

IndieRar · 05/07/2018 13:06

Borden, Joules, White Stuff, Seasalt all the way!

Agreed re Anthropology and & Other Stories. They've got such lovely things!

sanitygirl · 05/07/2018 14:29

Never too old! I'm 45 and buy most of my clothes from H&M. I only avoid Topshop because of the small sizing.

lindyloo57 · 05/07/2018 18:44

I agree never too old, i'm 57 and shop H&M, warehouse, oasis, sometimes marks and next. i do go in Topshop every now and then.

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 05/07/2018 18:51

Topshop was very vey frilly last time i looked, im 22 and felt too old. But i think thats just this season and hoping next year there will be some nice things in again, still the odd nice dress etc. So dont rule it out!

I agree with & other stories and zara, h&m i think just looks a bit cheap often. Next someyimes has some good things and i would also look on asos
