Solid Shampoo Bar - any recommendations?

Off the back of the soap bar thread I am now (as of yesterday!) trying to reduce my plastic bathroom consumption.
I know Lush have some solid shampoo bars, has anyone used them? What about their solid conditioners?
Any others anyone can suggest?

Have used their lemon one - really nice.
Plus recommend the Friendly Soap Co. whole range.

Thank you Bagelbaby. I have vague memories of trying some Friendly ones years ago but they seemed to make my hair all waxy and straw like. Is there a knack to using them? Maybe it's just my hair

The Lush ‘Honey, I Washed my Hair’ one is my absolute favourite. I tried the solid conditioners but didn’t love them, I use the bottled Veganese conditioner and it’s lovely.

Actually it was Funky soap ones I think I tried

Do be careful with Lush if you have coloured hair - mine stripped out my highlights within weeks, leaving me with platinum straw on top!
People with more experience might be able to tell you if some of their range are a little less aggressive...

The lush ones are shit, I have used the pink rose scented one and it left my hair looking limp and feeling unwashed, it’s also quite messy to store

StayGoldPonyBoy · 02/07/2018 18:44

Chiming back in to say I have coloured hair and still like the honey one Grin in all fairness though I haven’t used any of the others so maybe it’s the only good one

QueenOfCatan · 02/07/2018 18:46

I have the lush lemon one and like it but I'd be open to alternatives so marking my place!

Pinook · 02/07/2018 18:47

I have oily hair and love the Lush juniper sold shampoo bar for my greasy mop.

Momzilla82 · 02/07/2018 18:56

I use this one from all natural soap company

allnaturalsoap.co.uk/shop/men/shampoo-bar/

I’m afraid I won’t use Lush because of their dodgy politics. So any other brands?

Snitchesgetcandy · 02/07/2018 19:54

I have the Lemon lush one it’s nice but to harsh for use more than once a week.
Side note: waving at @Stayoutoftheforest and hoping I’ve got your name reference right Grin

The Lush ones all have SLS in which puts me off. I know I want to cut down on plastic, but I don't want to go back to SLS either.

Any SLS free options?

NameChangeUni · 02/07/2018 20:39

To be fair the other lush bars might be good - I just had such a poor experience with the Rose one that I didn’t want to try the others!

GrumpyOldMare · 02/07/2018 20:47

I use this one www.amazon.co.uk/Natural-Shampoo-Bar-Lavender-Geranium/dp/B0798PWWGN/ref=sr_1_29_a_it?keywords=shampoo+bar&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1530560732&sr=8-29 but get it from a local shop, only £2.60 there!

It's fantastic,my hair is clean, soft and shiny, and I find it doesn't need washing as often either!
