We’ve been using ultrasun sports gel 30 for the past few years, however it doesn’t have 5* uva/uvb rating so I want to try something else. The Soltan Once gets dreadful reviews for leaving stains and being impossible to rub in andNivea causes DS to come out in rashes. Any suggestions warmly welcome.

I'm using the regular ultrasun family spf 30- I'm sure it has maximum rating for UVA.

We use ladival on our execma prone dc's. Even the baby sensitive ranges bring out hives, everyone told us soltan baby would be fine but it was one of the worst. I've got high hopes for child farm but I can't get hold of it. It's tricky because ladival don't make a once a day and school have been pretty sniffy about the dc's taking it in to top up at lunch.

We've never burnt with ladival, but it does stain and the spray is a terrible design. It's also never on offer. But we're kind of stuck with it for dc's.

For myself I use piz buin once a day, I have very sensitive skin but it seems fine and always has been (I know a lot of people do react to it though). I'm also using a Superdrug own brand factor 30 on my face which is nice, not greasy and very cheap

Soltan sensitive on me
Ultra sun family on dd2 as all others I’ve tried cause her to come out in a rash and her face to swell up!

Ultra sun claim to have a high uva rating but it is annoying they don’t use the star system like everyone else!

I used ladival last year, it was good but very greasy and the spray stopped working half way through the bottle.

I'm using Lidl Sparta which is factor 30, seems to be ok so far.

The spray below gets the yellow stains out of white clothes. I thought I'd ruined several t-shirts but it worked.

It stinks though and I wouldn't wash anything else with clothes you've sprayed. I got it from Tesco.

OP, I have just checked the UVA rating for the ultrasun gel and it is rated using the Japanese rating system . It has PA+ + + which indicates high UVA protection. If you like it why change to something else because you probably aren't going to get any better protection that that.

We always use Boots Soltan either factor 30 or 15, the 8 hour one. Kids have never burnt and it's easy to apply. If you let it dry before getting dressed, then it doesn't stain clothes, or just apply it carefully when dressed.
