Help me with my hair!

I’m in a real rut. I’m 40 and now really quite grey. I don’t mind really but I’m at that in between stage where it’s not grey enough to look good growing out but too grey to leave.

My hair is very dark naturally - as close to black as possible so it’s very noticeable as the grey grows in.

What can I do to look more finished and less scruffy? I’m trying to improve my general appearance (losing weight, refreshing my wardrobe etc) but my hair just makes me feel like a scruff.

I’m open to a different cut and/or colour but I have two small DS so low maintenance is key!

I would start with a new style, if you're up for it.
Would you like to embrace the grey ?
Maybe a few added low lights might soften the transformation.
Someone with hair knowledge will be along soon.
Any chance of a pic ?

I’ll try to anonymise a pic.

I kind of would like to embrace the grey but I’m sensible to the fact it’s not especially flattering at the moment. I’d left it for all
My pregnancy and it was quite grey. I dyed it about a month post partum and I looked instantly better.

I’m quite olive skinned so lighter colours don’t suit me so well. I’ve got naturally curly hair which can be quite irritating too. Maybe I have to accept I’m just going to look like I have a bird’s next on my head.
