Interview what to wear this dress?

Hi

I have an important interview next week and I’m planning on wearing this dress! With a black jacket. The dress has a patent belt.

My question is do I wear heels? Or flats? And should they be patent as well?

Any help much appreciated it’s been years since I’ve had a ‘proper’ interview and I really need to feel right about what I am wearing.

Or do I wear a suit?

A pair of 2-3 inch black heels. They don’t have to be patent leather. Small silver earrings will be fine for jewellery. You don’t need a necklace as the top is patterned and the neck line doesn’t call for any embellishments. Either tan or low denier tights. Best of luck with your interview!

Dress looks fine, esp with a jacket, but is it a bit short for an interview? Depends on how tall you are.

I would wear smart black block-heeled ballet pumps with a 1-2 inch heel. Patent not necessary.

Are you more comfortable in flats or heels? Heels are nice, but if you're not confident in wearing them then it's just added stress on the day. A nice pair of black flats is perfectly acceptable.

Dress hits my knee, I checked so when I sat down it didn’t ride up. I think it’s ok, about an inch above knee. My other smart dress is a winter one, I may pop out to town to have a look and see if I can find something else before tomorrow.

I’m going for flats, much easier for me to walk in.
