Would they do what? Take it all off? Yes if you go for an intimate wax not just a bikini. It'll be a Brazilian or Hollywood.

If you're going something decent then yes they are used to seeing everything and don't bat an eyelid - lots of places now do men's cracks and I think that must be far more of a challenge/eyeful for them!

Blondie1984 · 29/06/2018 01:20

somewhere decent even

Wildlingofthewest · 29/06/2018 01:21

They see plenty of vaginas - it’s part of the job. If a salon is offering intimate waxing then they will have seen it all before! Don’t even worry about that!!

itsbetterthanabox · 29/06/2018 01:21

Not everywhere does intimate though. If you go for a normal bikini they won't take it all they'll just take the edges.

StopWhisperingStopShouting · 29/06/2018 22:17

Okay, thanks!

So worth asking if they do intimate area then! Thanks

I am a beauty therapist. You need to ask if they use hot wax not strip on the bikini area. If you can find a salon that uses Lycon Pinkini it’s really gentle it’s much more comfortable for the client.
You can choose to wear your own underwear if just want the sides done. We usually tuck a tissue in the sides. If you want a g string bikini you wear can a disposable g string. Usually for full bikini we prefer to wear nothing as can put more patches of wax on & do each side so it’s quicker.

I keep hearing on here that hot wax is best but have failed to find anywhere that uses it. I'm in a large town. Is that unusual?

Diamond, I’ve seen that wax and want to try it to have the whole lot taken off. Really ok to be starkers from the waist down? Just want to be prepared!

smurfy2015 · 30/06/2018 19:31

@anxious62 totally ok, although you should be offered a towel to cover parts of as you want to so you aren't totally exposed if not a towel at the very least table paper like in the Drs rxamining couch. It can be moved around as needed.

From Cosmo - www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/advice/a33718/what-to-expect-the-first-time-you-get-a-bikini-wax/

exfoliate before and after and have some baby lotion to smother across your bits as there may be wee bits of wax still on your skin,

if considering sex that night "medical experts recommend waiting for 24- 48 hours after any type of bikini wax. this time period is when your body can be most susceptible to outside bacteria, which can potentially cause an infection. for your safety and health, it is better to abstain, but not required. it is really a personal choice, so just keep in mind that your skin does need some time to recover" You know youself best.

Also I used to tend to bring an older pair of pants to wear home as no worries about bits of wax or the baby lotion getting on them.

Remember too if you get aroused with your partner there is no hair to trap it so it can feel strange at first. Also very freeing, I would usually go for a wee walk in a long skirt and let the air get around me Wink

BTW if your partner loves it but you dont and he encourages you to do it again, if you agree, he has to go first (back / sac / crack) lol
