Off to a big wedding bash in September, and have started to look for dresses for me and DDs (5 and 8). The wedding will be fairly relaxed (but in a swish, quite formal setting), old friends marrying late.
I've not attended a wedding with the DDs yet, and haven't paid attention to how others approach this: we've picked out a couple of favourite dresses each, and it suddenly strikes me that as an ensamble (which is how we are most likely to be spending the day), they either clash horribly (patterns, colours and textures) or, look weirdly 'matchy', but not quite, iyswim; pewter, grey and mink.
Normally this isn't something I would give two hoots about, but I am thinking that if even I notice, it must be worth thinking about.
So what to do; go for a clashing extravaganza of colours and the rest, or plump for a more synchronised look, but which might look a bit try-hard?
