Hello - I'm just looking for recommendations for casual summer dresses. I'm a size 12 and mid 30s. I have a bit of a tummy, which I would like to try and hide. Thank you.

Lots of people recommend this linen dress from Next.
I haven’t got one but did spot a woman wearing one yesterday and she looked v nice in it.
Only £26 and meant to be flattering for all shapes despite being a shift.

NotARegularPenguin · 26/06/2018 19:42

H&m have a nice blue shirt dress which is very flattering.

Oysho have a few cotton and linen dresses in the sale. I have the red kaftan cotton one and it’s wafty and cool. M&S have some good linen dresses. H&M have a few too but I lose the will to live trying to find the right size there.

If you want inexpensive, quite a few ppl on an Fb group have said this is good.

Or these - in pic - are very popular.

I’ve bought two patterned wrap dresses in Primark recently for a tenner each that make me feel fab (I’m also a 12 and 30) and have got so many compliments. They make me look reallt curvy instead of chubby.

KirstenRaymonde · 26/06/2018 23:50

This is one of the ones I have, though doesn’t look very flattering not on a person

Your link doesn’t work for me KirstenRaymonde but the Primark wrap dress sounds interesting. I love wrap dresses.

BagelGoesWalking · 28/06/2018 20:05

Bloomers click on the letters/numbers at the end of the link - worked for me that way.

After seeing bloomers post I went to next, half hopeful and half sceptical that the dress could actually flatter all. I really liked it and got one in blue and white, might even go back for another colour. I'm a 16-18 with a big tummy, but still find it comfortable and flattering.

I got another dress in there too that is very cool. It's very thin material. Quite different to what I would normally wear, but I like it.

So glad the dress is as good as everyone says. Must try one in sometime. There’s a nice turquoise floral one at the moment.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 05/07/2018 08:03

I'm still on the hunt. The Next one doesn't suit me at all - I'm a proper hourglass shape so it's all baggy round the middle. I'm looking for hot weather work appropriate dresses - hot as in packed tube commute, no air con office type hot :-(

BigFatBloomers · 05/07/2018 09:48

Lots of nice shirt dresses around this summer BatshitCrazyWoman. I imagine they’d be good for an hourglass.
