What to wear in this weather without feeling frumpy

Just that really. I am a size 16/18 and feel frumpy in so many of my summer clothes. I have not managed to shift much weight and feel my arms look flabby in everything. Where can I get some nice clothes to make me feel more confident about my appearance in this heat?

Joules do nice long loose t shirts and also some lovely dresses.

My go to outfit is a soft denim knee length skirt (from Hush actually) with a Joules t shirt.

Try looking at Violetta by Mango. Also some of the oversized dresses by Hush and Jigsaw are fine for 16/18. I have also bought a couple of really lovely things from George at Asda recently. Cheap as chips and just as nice as clothes I've spent much more on. I just bought a navy stripe maxi skirt with long splits for £10 and I've worn it several times in the heatwave - it's really flattering and cool to wear.

I tend to buy outfits rather than random items of clothes, for casual and work wear now as it makes dressing so much easier. I have far fewer random items of clothing now that don't get worn.

It's amazing the difference a couple of nice outfits can make to the way we feel. Doesn't have to cost a fortune either.

If you describe your shape then the knowledgable people here can advise further.

I'm definitely a pear shape figure, about 5foot7 tall with brown hair and freckles
