I start a new job on Monday. Professional environment, not like anywhere I've worked before. What on earth do I wear? I will boil in my trousersuit but I need to look professional and up to the job.

Sleeveless suit dress? Short sleeved shirt and skirt?
I suspect the worst bit will be the commute - could you travel in a t shirt and change in the loo when you arrive? Might mean you feel less crumpled etc if you have a hot commute

Oh god I didn't even think about the commute! Yeah might need a spare top, good thinking. What sort of skirt? Does it have to be a pencil or would a flowy knee length one work?

never a dress as you will get sweaty in any office. always a shirt that you can wash.

pencil skirts are really hot and impractical. loosen up.

should be cooler next week.

mayandjuniper · 26/06/2018 17:07

Yes I hate pencil skirts, why I was asking Grin. Does that mean a loose skirt is ok?

Are bare legs ok?! Sorry, so much panic!

All depends on the office/ dress code. What sort of business is it?
