Lindy bop - I feel like I've been robbed

So, yes I know, rules are rules, it's my fault.
But
I placed a large order with lindy bop.
Received my dresses but the sizing was all over the place so only one dress fitted.
I kept one dress, returned the rest and re ordered two further dresses in the correct size.
Only I returned the dresses a day over their returns cut off date and now I have a bloody credit note. I really can't afford not to have a refund and I don't have anything that I wish to spend the credit note on at lindy bop.
Lindy bop did say that if I had called them and asked for an extension to the return cut off date I could have had it but I didn't realise that I missed the cut off date until they said I couldn't have a refund!!!!
I'm feeling decidedly grumpy about this.

Frustrating but you must have kept them a while. Can you sell the credit note? If the dresses are last season or about to go into the sale, lindybop will be losing money.

ItsTheGloaming · 26/06/2018 14:55

Nope, I was one day over their 14 calendar day return policy so lindy bop won't be losing any money.
How do you sell a credit note?

The cut off is 14 days isn't it? So less than most high street stores and therefore understandable but ultimately as a customer it's your responsibility to check.

A harsh way to find out though. Cake for you OP.

ovenchips · 26/06/2018 15:17

Ouch! That is harsh. Esp when you reordered stuff following original order. Could you query with someone higher up?

allertse · 26/06/2018 15:44

Are the dresses you re-ordered still within the return window? If so, I'd buy them again using the credit note and send the original re-order back for a refund.... Very irritating and you would hope there would be some discretion!

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/06/2018 15:53

On ebay? 14 days is a bit tight. Go higher, be lovely and appeal to their netter nature.

ItsTheGloaming · 26/06/2018 15:55

I do realise that it is my fault, rules and all that (I lost track of the days as finishing my PGCE and ended up returning them late) but it was a big order and I was hoping for some discretion.
Will see about querying with someone higher up. No the dresses I re ordered are out of the 14 days and I have worn them so that's a no go.... 😕

Hope they refund you, 14 days is no time when you're busy, and there's no busy quite like pgce busy. Good luck.
