Foundation - BB Cream - Tinted Moisturiser

Okay, someone please explain the difference between a BB cream and a tinted moisturiser... is there a difference? How much lighter than foundation is a BB cream and what sort of finish does it give? Would it be too sheer for skin in its’ 50’s?

As I know, BB cream and tinted moisturiser is the same thing. On the other side, when we talk about BB and foundation, they both can have more shades (tones) and they don't have to be different in shades. Main difference is in coverage (foundation has a better coverage so sometimes can look darker than BB cream).
