I’m wearing this dress for a wedding. It’s a bit boring but I’m 47, carrying excess weight and it fits very well and hides my worst part (belly). I’m pale and blonde but will get a light tan and a fair bit of slap. My first thought was silver accessories but I’m not feeling it. What about navy or coral? Shoes, bag, statement earrings but not planning head gear. Thank you!

It's a lovely dress and reminds me a little of the Duchess of Cambridge style or maybe that's the long dark hair on the model.

I love it with the gold sandals and would suggest a gold clutch, I bought this bag recently in the duck egg / pinky beige and it would look good and it also comes in Navy www.myexquisiteshop.com/products/olivia-fine-italian-leather-shoulder-tote there is a code SPRING10 for 10 % off at the moment. Do you already have bags to choose from?

I guess it depends on your skin tone whether silver or gold would look best with it and also your frame (i.e. a dainty bracelet or chunkier bangle)
Maybe coral on your toenails if you're wearing sandals?
I'm sure you'll look lovely!

Thanks so much luxurywoman! That bag is gorgeous, I really do love pastels together. I think coral accessories might look too contrived and is probably a younger woman’s game! But yes coral toes a great idea. Now looking at gold/rose gold accessories. Definitely chunky jewellery for me. I think it was Trinny and Susannah who said the bigger boned woman should avoid dainty jewellery Grin

Thanks again!

Yes I need chunkier jewellery too being tall and not very slim. I was surprised to see some nice bits in Debenhams and with good discounts too, a lot of costume jewellery is too blingy for my taste, I prefer simple.

Beautiful dress.
Why don’t you try layering a delicate necklace with something more chunky. Quite on trend to do that - did it for work today and got lots compliments.

Lovely dress. How about getting some floral accessories, I've seen quite a few floral print bags and shoes around. It would introduce a bit more colour and interest to your outfit x

Fab ideas from you all - plenty for me to play around with. Feeling better about the dress now, thank you all x
