Help me to style this skirt

Hi, I recently bought this skirt as I love the fit and the length on me but I'm not sure how what to wear with it? Not sure on the white t-shirt look in the picture?

I thought a navy t-shirt would look ok but I'm not sure....

Any ideas would be gratefully received

Gorgeous skirt and colour. I like the white tshirt with it, think it might work better than navy, which would also work ok though!

Colour clash?

I saw a girl today wearing similar but she had a completely plain white tshirt with a v neck, flat tan sandals, tan handbag and tortoiseshell shades - she looked lovely!

Reiss do silk sleeveless tops usually in nice colours. Could look good?

Off the shoulder long sleeve top that is tight to the body or Simple cami top if you don't mind your arms out. Tight jumpers in the winter. I would avoid anything too billowy or silhouette won't work - unless you're very tall and slim.

Definitely don't wear with flat pump type shoes as will make it look super frumpy - sandals, modern trainers if you have a young look or heels.

All jackets need to be cropped!

All jewel toned colours would look lovely, or perhaps a mustard or piquant dark orange colour? Tan accesories always work, or metallic anything. Good old black and or white will always look fab.

My colleague has the same skirt and she pairs it with a dark orange /yellow/white/maroon silky shirts. Oh, and I once saw her wear it with a sequinned top for a night out.

I did a quick Pinterest search... these were good in terms of colour, I particularly like the orange jumper 😍

Thanks for all the replies, I love the idea of mustard or orange... will look for tops in those colours now.

I have worn the skirt tonight with tan woven sandals from warehouse, round neck white t-shirt from hush and a tan bag. On reading the comments I think a v neck might look better so if I am feeling brave I will try that for work on Thursday.

I always wear jeans to work but I need something cooler in this heat!!

Re: the shoes, do you think navy Saltwaters would work or are they too frumpy for this style?

@nervousnails what colour sequin top did she wear? That might be an idea for my holidays!
