What should I do with my wild hair?

My hair is dark and really curly and frizzy. I can't go near it with a brush until it's wet. There is a lot of volume but not that much thickness.
I've spent years growing it so now when it's wet or straight it comes to about the bottom of my ribs on the front. However I pretty much only stick it up in a pony tail.

I do love- hate my curls but so bored of it. Want a change. I would dye it but I'd have to bleach it first and I always have to leave it on for hours which fucks my hair and it's still orangey coloured. I thought about doing an undercut which I've always kinda wanted but I don't think that would work if I didn't straighten it every day (takes literally hours to do)

I need something low maintenance that doesn't need much upkeep. I am not a person who spends ages getting ready every day. I have quite high cheekbones, a small button nose, and full lips.

Photo? If not of you then of a similar hairstyle? I can't really imagine it.

Sort of like this, and also Anne Hathaway in Princess Diaries before she gets all 'beautified' and the girl in Brave

It is gorgeous!
Have you tried the curly girl method?

cjferg · 26/06/2018 12:31

Thanks, it's took me a long time to love it.
No, but I went for a year or two only washing it with water and my hands. Problems arose when I was at an outdoor party and could not get the smell of wood smoke out after!

I am having a read of the curly girl website now!

Curly girl made a massive difference to my hair, I have actual curls and ringlets now! And I had it cut into an inverted bob

Henna it red. It will look stunning 🙂

Been reading through that website and I kinda want to try a fringe. Something I always thought was impossible with my hair. I might just look 12 though.
