Bruising Under Big Toe Nails

Shampaincharly · 24/06/2018 15:02

Had bruising under big toenails after a strenuous mountain descent in very hot weather.
It happened end of April and is not attractive with open toe footwear. I want to wear open toe footwear next week. Can anyone advise me how to disguise it ?
I am not too keen on very dark colours but will appreciate advice. Some runners get this too, so if they can advise I would be grateful.
P.S. Was not sure where to post this.

Dark nail varnish?

Freshprincess · 24/06/2018 15:07

I've just been looking on eBay for nail wraps in lighter colours as I usually just cover up with dark nail varnish.

I got bruising under one of my big toenails last August, it's only just grown out. Anyway, I just covered it with glittery nail polish from Primark. All the class me.

I get my toe nails shella’d for this very reason. Lasts about 6 weeks. £15. Covers runners toe nails

Thanks.
Experimenting at the moment. I will look at those options if it is not working.

I’ve got this just now too. Dark nail, polish has worked for me.

Update:
Used Mavala white as base on big toe nails. Then 2 coats of pearly pink Maybelline. There was still dark shine through on one nail so I applied a stripe of Mavala white, then 1 more coat of pink. That solved it.
All the other nails got 2 coats of pink. Top coat applied to all.
It is covered and I did not have to use dark colour or get shellac.
Happy with the result.
