Blue/purple shampoo

So my hair is light anyway but highlighted. Went in for a cut today and the hairdresser suggested blue/purple shampoo to cool down the tone of my highlights and help them blend in with any grey tinged regrowth. I have a big work presentation on Wed so thought I might give it a go....
So it’s dark blue... eek
Thoughts please lovely ladies.....yes or no..?

The shampoo is dark blue or your hair is dark blue? I use a blue shampoo once a week, it makes my grey more silvery but doesn't leave a blue tinge. Don't leave it on for more than a minute for the first time if you're worried.

It depends what colour your hair is, it generally cools the colour and tones down yellow. Mine is pale-ish grey so the blue shampoo makes it silvery, but if I was blonde it would make it less brassy.

Ive just started using it. Its fabulous. There are websites that review the different brands.
