Shaving rash on legs..

Just that - only started happening a couple of years ago but I get a horrible shaving rash on my legs. Any tips?

Smear small amount of Petroleum jelly, straight after shaving

Forgot to add- are you changing your razor frequently enough, blunt razors can do this too
