All hair dyes equal?

Ok so I've got my first greys and I'd like to cover them. I don't really do the hairdresser- it's been 14 months so I'm considering home dyes. I dyed my hair lots during my 20s but that was for the look. I also think it made my hair a better condition. Now however I'm looking to cover greys up. Any advice on product? Are they all much of a muchness? I have dark brown hair if that makes a difference and looking to stay this colour. Thank you

If you only have a few greys a semi permanent or highlights should cover it or even henna.

Go a shade or two lighter than you think because all home dyes seem to go on darker than you expect.

Thanks for the tips. I struggle to work out what my own colour is in comparison to the glossy woman on the box. I would be tempted to choose darker!
