Thinning hair - do people actually use scalp powder?

I have very light thin hair and it feels like it's thinning out more than ever lately. My scalp is very white and noticeable in some areas.

Would I look like a total idiot to try using something like the below just over a few bits to try and make it less jarring?

I don't understand fashion or looking good so any help would be really kind!

Cover Your Gray Fill-In Powder, Medium Brown link on amazon.

I'm guessing that's a "yes you'd look like an idiot" then Grin

I’m a full time wig wearer (alopecia). Lots of people use things like toppick fibre powder to conceal thinning hair (you can get it on Amazon). I didn’t like it as it takes a while, made my hair dry, covered pillowcases in dirty looking smears and bizarrely meant I always seemed to have dirty looking nails from putting it on and/or touching my head afterwards. But it’s worth a try.

I don't know whether this would work or not but the L'Oreal root spray for covering grey hair seems to catch on tiny hairs that are invisible the rest of the time.

I have thin hair too. I use thickening/blow dry powder. Like battiste.
It doesnt colour but does make it look much thicker esp with some backcombing.
My hair is short with long upper layers which i can usually backcomb powder and hairspray into place to cover the bald patches.
Ive also found its a lot less noticable when my hair is lighter. When it was dark my scalp shone through

Would a coloured dry shampoo be a cheap option to try out and see how you get on?

I’ve used dermMatch powder before. I felt much more confident when my scalp wasn’t shining through.
