Fake Tan on legs- help!

It just never works! I've tried gradually, foams etc, but it never does anything.

Has anyone had same problem? Had any success?

Thanks

Are you moisturising before application? It’ll put a barrier on that stops the dha being absorbed.

Especially oil based ones.

How much are you using? My MIL used to say this and I found out she was using a 10p size amount and expected that to do both arms & legs Grin

Bondi Sands foam is the only fake tan that has ever coloured my legs.

RiojaHaze · 23/06/2018 15:14

I use Bondi Sands foam too - nothing else colours my legs or my chest, I'm not sure if it's because they're a bit more oily than the rest of my body?

Do have to go over my shins twice though.

Freshly Baked is also good and a bit darker.

I wasn't moisturizing before but maybe was layering too many kinds...

I'll try the bondi sands foam... I had tried the cocoa brown foam which didn't to much

I used to use a Lancôme leg gel years ago... might try that again if I can get a sample

Last one I tried was the St Tropez one minute pre-shower foam which did nothing, even to upper body. I might as well have put it on the dog

I've used
St moritz
St tropez
Vita liberata
Lancôme leg gel
Clarins tan drops
Cocoa brown
Bondi sands mouse.

Bondi sands is heads and shoulders above the others. I moisturise my knees and only wipe the mitt over them at the end as all tan seems to stick to my dry knees. As long as I do that I've got to say it's bloomin amazing stuff.

I use dark Skinny Tan and its absolutely brilliant.

NotAPenguin · 23/06/2018 22:19

They don't work well on me either. I use Vita Liberata body blur on my legs, it's a wash off. I apply with a tanning mitt very quickly. It stays on really well, survives rain and even a shower if you don't wash your legs or rub them dry. I have milk bottle coloured quite veiny legs and can now wear skirts - hurrah!
