Are your nail extensions and polish hiding dirt?

I don't have false nails and I rarely wear nail polish. I don't do dirty manual labour, just normal everyday things. Everyone seems to have these beautiful, clean, pristine nails yet I have to scrub mine 3 or 4 times a day to keep them clean underneath.

Am I abnormal? Or is that other people's dirt is actually hidden by the polish and extensions?

No, truthfully say have never, ever been a nail biter. When I was younger my nails were very strong and used to grow very long. In the past ten years I have deliberately kept them short as just don't like long nails.

However, it occurred to me today then when they were long they never looked dirty!

I think this is because as they grow the straighten/flatten out and the rounded shape at the edges disappears.

I am seriously thinking of starting to wear my nails longer again because of this reason.

everyone's nails get dirty op. if you wear a dark polish it's a lot less noticeable though x
