First post sorry if I’ve done anything wrong !
I’ve got a christening coming up in July, and will be 34 weeks pregnant. Have brought a lovely white dress but doubting if white is acceptable to a christening or not ? I’m not godmother so won’t be in any official photos please advise !!

Why not? It’s not a wedding and I doubt you will upstage the baby! Off white is very popular at the moment and accessories and shoes can add colour.

I'm not aware of any colour being off limits for a christening.

TroubledLichen · 22/06/2018 20:42

I don’t see why not. If anyone thinks that by wearing white you’re trying to get your unborn baby to upstage the baby who is being christened then they are making quite the leap. Just beware of cuddling the baby as your dress might not stay white for long!

You will be fine!

I wore white to my grandson's christening.

Yes. It’s bad taste is wear white as a wedding guest in case you upstage the bride. No problem with wearing it to a christening though!
