Help - outdoor concert outfit!

I've a freebie ticket for classic Ibiza event; I'm really excited but don't know what to wear.

It's outdoors into the evening (I'm a chilly bean) and I need to look the part with all the other cool and trendy people. But, am a mid 30s single mom of two with no family, so look tired and am not flush

I'm size 4/6 petite.

Nothing I have fits.. dramatic weight loss after dv... Given single mom status it needs to be affordable, but the ticket was a freebie from work, so I can justify spending a bit more than primark!

Please save me, and hit me with your ideas of what to wear in a British July!

Thanks beggingly xx

Where is it? UK?
It's going to be a warm weekend so I'd recommend the staples of nice flats - sparkly gladiator style or Adidas Stan smiths, denim shorts and nice Strappy top or a playsuit. Cool shades and maybe a hat!
Oh - and age does not matter! Olds cool.... 😎

FrankiesKnuckle · 22/06/2018 21:46

Sorry, didn't read properly!
Take a denim jacket, tie round waist when hot.

atomicnotsoblonde · 22/06/2018 22:40

Ok... shorts and sandals I have... so I'm looking for, strappy top, playsuit, denim jacket.

Also have a hat.. prob need to improve on my shades!

Pray for sun! (And for me to nail partying elegance!)

Don't wear sandles to any outdoor concert if you value your toes.
We (DD, DD friend and I) went to Hyde Park last year (July) we stood from noon till 10pm, the pushing was horrendous , I wouldn't want stepped on .
Converse all round here , and don't forget the walk back to the tube .

IIRC , I wore jeggings and floaty top with a cross body bag , Easy to go to the loo, no belts or dungarees.

Yes to crossbody bag.

No to playsuit - difficult for weeing.

atomicnotsoblonde · 23/06/2018 08:18

Thank you! Hadn't considered weeing or toes!

I went to one of these last year on the bolesworthy estate. It was AMAIZING you are in for a treat.

People where all ages from late 20s upwards I would say. Very chilled vibe. Be sure to take a picnic and chairs.

Outfit wise most people had boots on as it was a way to walk from the carpark. And quite literally in a field.

And once it got dark it got cooler very cool so a jacket is a must.

As it was in a big open space it got cold fast as there was no shelter.

atomicnotsoblonde · 23/06/2018 23:30

Jacket! Heads to eBay.... thank you! X

Layers are what you need as it tends to get very cold at night. I usually wear a floaty dress & denim jacket or denim mini skirt and hoodie then take a pair of primark fleece lined tights in my bag to pull on under whatever I'm wearing later on. This is my standard festival outfit when I'm too far away to be arsed to go back to camp.

Skirt and t-shirt, with leggings, cardi/jacket and wrap in bag to layer up later. Wear trainer style shoes with socks - feet get cold in the evening.

I would also have a waterproof with you, unless forecast is very good.

Thank you, it's for 7th, hoping for sun!

Have ebayed a denim jacket. So shoes are better than sandals/flip flops?

I've got shorts, strappy top, cardigan to layer and a denim jacket en route.

I think I need a statement necklace type thing to liven up the shorts/strappy top combo up.

Feeling more confident!
