See through t shirts

So... if you fell in love with a pink Ganni t-shirt from the outnet, ordered it and loved it APART from the fact that it was major see through and were struggling with the idea of returning its loveliness (and the outlets crap return system..) how could you remedy a see through tee? If you need to wear a bra especially say...

Just, umm, asking for a friend..?

I'd wear a nice bralet or crop top depending on the shape/style of it.

Ellafruit1 · 22/06/2018 13:38

Would a nude coloured bra work?

Underparmummy · 22/06/2018 13:40

I haven't tried a nude bra yet but I'm not sure it would.

Pink bra let thing might work though (and provide tummy cover). Im not a super standard boob size though so need to start hunting...

Thanks!

Why would you make a see through tee shirt?! No wonder it was a deal.

I’d just rock the sheerness with a don’t care black bra.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/06/2018 14:20

I would wear a cami vest under it. Be a bit deliberate. What colour is it? Can we have a link?

SoddingUnicorns · 22/06/2018 14:21

I’ve got a few kind of see through ones, I wear either a nude strappy vest or one to match the top.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/06/2018 14:23

Sorry meant to say black - I would try a black vest under it. Or cream or white. Its annoying. All my pale tees are see through on me. I end up wearing a thin vest under them.

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 22/06/2018 14:42

I love linen jersey t shirts which are also semi sheer. I wear a nude plain bra under which works fine.

I've also got a nude vest from M&S which I wear under a white embroidered lace top I have, it's really lightweight so doesn't really add warmth:

Vest, camisole.

AnnaNimmity · 22/06/2018 14:53

I'd also embrace the sheerness and wear a black bra (I'm classy me).

CointreauVersial · 22/06/2018 14:53

Nude bras really do work.

Unless it's quite loose, wearing a cami/vest underneath is a pain - I always feel so trussed up and uncomfortable in double layers.

HildaZelda · 22/06/2018 14:53

I'd wear a lace bralet under it. In fact I do, with a navy one I've got.

Underparmummy · 22/06/2018 15:09

I agree on double layers, i feel all bulky. Trying to find a bralette/pink sports bra in my small band large cup saggy boob size now (as opposed to working..).
Holding out that my nude bra will work though!

I will I could do the black bra thing but I get a bit self conscious. Not sure why

I would try for a nude t-shirt bra or a nude vest if you like more coverage.

SoddingUnicorns · 22/06/2018 15:31

Nude bra will definitely work under that.

MatildaLovesBooks · 22/06/2018 15:33

I would go for a nude bra or a pretty bralette. Or, a plain or frilly vest top but that might be too warm currently- might be better in winter.

Underparmummy · 23/06/2018 08:48

Nude bra isn't good, mainly because its a moulded cup and as I've lost all the 'filling' on the top of my boobs the t-shirt just emphasis the gap!

Nude strapless might but mine is ancient and has lost its oomph - needed a new one anyway.

A built in bra cami might work. Oh to have easy boobs!

Solved with a pink Chantelle t shirt bra on offer on amazon in the end!

Ordered lots from Bravissimo that will going straight back tomorrow (yuck!).

Thanks all!

I would wear it with a nude bra, then it doesn’t really matter if the fabric is see through.

hugoagogo · 27/06/2018 06:46

More importantly; what is she holding? I thought it might be a ukulele, but I can't see any strings.

eloisesparkle · 27/06/2018 10:52

Primark do a great nude bra.
Cheap as chips.

Underparmummy · 28/06/2018 11:44

Bet they don't do it in not standard sizing though!

This has made me realise that other than my strapless bra moulded cups are no longer for me and my spaniel ears.
