Shorts where the crotch area doesn't get sucked into bumcrack

Apologies for the title, but please could someone recommend a pair of shorts where the crotch doesn't get wedged in the bum crack as you walk? I'm a size 14-16.

The only shorts that somewhat suit this requirement are from Next. They are made from a very fluidly material (think viscose but thicker).

I really like the look of chino shorts but the material is too stiff and the above-mentioned predicament occurs.

I don't like long shirts, ideally a couple of inches above the knee would be ideal.

Thanks.

Got my last two pairs from Monsoon. Am usually an 18 but am 16 in there (and often in Next). First pair dark denim, second are a lighter denim-look thin striped, but actually soft to touch....anyway they fit, hang (on me) and wash well.

Grin I love the title, and I did laugh out loud because it is also my quest.

Thanks, @ChoccyJules, I'll have a look in Monsoon.

@cakecrumbsinmybra - they are gorgeous but bloody hell, 40 quid for a pair of shorts?!

I know 🙀 I treated myself to a pair 2 years ago and then managed to get another in the Jan sale, for about £20 (pale blue, maybe they weren’t popular?). They wash well and I live in them during the summer.
