I need help breaking away from Breton style tops!

I go to my wardrobe to take out a clean top ... breton, breton or breton. Oh wait, let me check down the other end ... more stripes! Help. I’m 50. I live in jeans and bretons. Please, lovely people save me - I need prints, something but what? Would any lovely, stylish ladies like to link to some interesting, pretty tops which aren’t a breton? Thanks!

Have you tried Mantaray (Debenhams)? Like Fat Face/ White Stuff but cheaper. And much cheaper than both on eBay!

Seasalt? Although as said above, step away from their Bretons! although they are very nice and I may have a few. Nice florals that aren't too garish - some of the nautical stuff a bit ott. Shapes and sizes can be weird though so best to try on.

Those tesco ones are nice thick cotton and wash well. I love them.

Breton addict here too! I love a boden Breton. Smart enough to wear with black trousers for work but casual enough to wear with skinny jeans at the weekend. You can't go wrong with a stripey top

Same here. 48 and have a substantial collection of breton style tops both long and short sleeved. And also a number of breton strip dresses. I think they're classic and stylish and look great with dungarees, chinos, jeggings, jeans of any shape and lots of skirts. I do break out occasionally into Hush or Baukjen tshirts which are not striped!

I was like this last year. I spent the last 12 months buying...... Wait for it..... Blouses.

But not stupid pussy bow things, I mean like shirts but floppier but with cool patterns on.

Though have realised that virtually all have a background of navy......

59. Have been banned by dds from purchasing striped bretons! I know I need something else, but they're so easy to just fling on! (I too hate 3/4 sleeves)

Every trip to TKMaxx results in a new stripey Jaegar top in a different colour. Super thick cotton, wash brilliantly, nice neckline.

Joules harbour tops come in all sorts of gorgeous prints - bit warm for summer but they equally do nice light T-shirts and vest tops with prints

Griefbacon is the John Lewis vagina dress an actual thing? I came on here to try and break my own stripe addiction but now I want a vulva frock. Feel it would be hilarious to wear in meetings at work and see who notices.

Please, please could some of you who have stepped away from bretons and the like, please share where you have found alternatives? I have, for the record, just done a Hush order without a stripe in sight!

Ah but Bretons just look so nice- maybe not everyday though. I’m also self conscious when i go into JoJo wearing one as it’s their uniform!

I loved wearing bretons but it was all getting rather meh and same same. So I have moved on to polka dots, they look so refreshing. I didn’t take to over bearing florals a la joules but polka dots look great.
