Charlotte Tilbury "Pillow Talk" lipstick - any good?

Have read a lot of hype about this lipstick suiting every shade of skin. It does look like a really nice shade but It's quite pricey and there are no local stockists where I could try a tester so it's a bit of a risk to order one.

Just wondered if anyone here has tried it and could give me a brief review?

I love the colour and love other lipsticks in the brand but I find this one drying

BusterGonad · 20/06/2018 19:10

Look at online reviews, but search under images, you should get an okay idea of the shade etc

I find a lot of CT lippies drying, some of them have a gritty feel to then too.

BlueKittens · 20/06/2018 19:29

I find it very Matt and quite dry

I prefer Mac in Mehr which is a similar shade imo. I don’t find it drying at all- I have the mini version so I think it cost £10

Thanks, that's really helpful - I don't usually use matte lipsticks so this might not be for me if it's particularly drying.

It's far too brown for a natural pale skinned blonde - it definitely doesn't suit me.

Rumblemumble · 20/06/2018 21:02

I’m olive skinned with dark hair and the colour is perfect for me. Find it goes on smoothly and lasts but as it’s Matt it’s not good if you’ve got dry lips!

LostInShoebiz · 20/06/2018 21:06

Dark brown hair with pale skin, looks awful on me.

PugwallsSummer · 20/06/2018 21:34

Thank you, thank you! I'm pale and blonde and have never attempted matte lipstick so you've all saved me some wasted pounds.

Will get back on Pinterest to find something else to obsess over...

Lipstick Queen The Truth series are very good nudes, there are 3 varying in pink / nude tones but they are all very flattering and non-drying. Best muses I've found and better than Pillow Talk.

unusuallylongtoes · 20/06/2018 21:48

Olive skinned with mousy blond hair, I look dreadful wearing Pillow Talk.
My fair, pink toned skin mate looks gorgeous with it.

Housewife2010 · 21/06/2018 09:30

I found it very drying. I would recommend the M&S Rosie for Autograph lipstick in Lady Rose (particularly when they have a 20%off code). It's a gorgeous wearable pinky nude which isn't too light and is very hydrating. The packaging is also far more expensive looking and feeling than the CT. ( I do love the Pillow Talk lipliner though)

Ellapaella · 21/06/2018 21:46

It's a lovely colour but honestly it has no lasting power at all! A total ripoff for £24!
Rimmel 'Asia' is a very similar colour. In all honesty I'd buy a dupe, you will be disappointed by how quickly it wears off.
