Zara for chubsters

Has anyone size 16 had any success buying from Zara.

My experience is that it comes up really small. I've just bought £200 of tops so will report back!

I'll not be keeping it all if it fits anyway!!

I find it wildly inconsistent as a fellow 16. Sometimes I can wear XL sometimes (particularly Trafaluc) XL is tiny not even equating to 14. Though I recently bought a dress and the L was roomy. Trousers are tricky as the trousers are too short but I recently bought nice skinnies with sporty looking strips on the side and they were like a Top Shop 32 , they had a distressed hem so I could get away with length.

The oversize t shirts are nice (I normally get XL and they're a 16-18 usually)

And stretchy things Grin

Be warned tho that the quality is dire and they'll shrink after two washes tho :(

I’ve never been able to find anything in Zara and I’m a 16
Not made for boobs

Zara are shit across the board. Armholes too tight, rubbish fabric, buttons pop off left right and centre. We have a huge one near us and buy some dc bits in the sales, but not bought anything for myself for years. Shame.

I'll do an try on when it arrives and report back!

The cut of Zara doesn't work for me so nothing fits regardless of size!

FogCutter · 20/06/2018 20:55

The sizing and cut of clothes in Zara is so random. I can't order anything online as it never fits properly and if the stuff I try on in store (all various sizes/ items) about 5% actually fits well.

I'm a size 14 in most shops but have Zara stuff in M, L and XL.

NewBallsPlease00 · 20/06/2018 20:56

I’m a 10 or occasional 12 in topshop
In Zara I’m a large

FaFoutis · 20/06/2018 21:00

Nothing fits me in Zara, it isn't cut for shoulders or hips.

Growingboys · 20/06/2018 21:18

I'm a size 12 and an XL in Zara if I'm lucky.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 20/06/2018 21:24

I did buy a really nice jacket in there when I was a size 14. It was pricey though - £70, which is a bit much for polyester imo. But the cut was gorgeous. Can't get it on now I am a 16. Zara is not for big women.
Tbh I don't get the love for the place. I swear that when I bought that jacket it was the only nice thing on the shop. Quality is dire and it is like a jumble sale in there.

WipsGlitter · 22/06/2018 18:04

For anyone interested... the L was generally too small and most of it was too short. Definitely not cut for boobs!!!

Out of seven or eight things ones a keeper and ones a maybe.
