Anyone else find super dry clothes come up do small?

I'm a size 12 in practically every shop and I have to have an extra large because the medium (supposedly a size 12) is like a second skin! Also my goddauggter is 14 yo and like a bean pole and she's a medium when she's a size 6-8 in all other clothes. Are they trying to depress us do you think? Lol!

I think someone said on here that they are a Japanese company so very small made. I think they are known for their tiny sizes.

Tiny! I'm a 10-12 and a large jacket is snug if I've got a hoodie on underneath.

The Japenese sizing makes sense. Mental note not to go to Japan, it would do my self esteem no good! Lol!

They are not Japanese - as pp said they have built a brand on pretending to be Japanese! The tiny sizing is prob all part of the branding.

Yep, 16 yr old tall, slim DS is a large. Had to laugh at the gorgeous Idris Elba posters in the shop there's no way he'd fit into their clothes.

Japanese people laugh at us for wearing Superdry! Tbh yes, I think they want us to feel bad for not all being teeny Californian supermodels.

Their target audience is teens and they go for the Hollister approach to sizing. It makes perfectly willowy teens feel fat as they come out as XL when they weigh about 8 stone.

Not really. I am obese and can still wear their clothes (albeit a large)

Are teens still buying them any more? I thought it had entirely moved on to 40 somethings trying and failing to be cool!

DS is tall and pipe cleaner slender. He looks great in bin bags, but very hot in Superdry medium. Mind, he's all arms and legs.

So Japan can go back on my travel list. Still a bit depressed my jumper is an xl. They sew the size label to the jumper too - they're really just trying to be mean! Lol!

They started up in Cheltenham. Yes, the men's sizes are also small. My skinny DS1 is a small everywhere else and a medium in Superdry.

I don't think their sizing is small, I find it reliably standard.

I have a lot of Superdry clothes and don't find the sizing small either. I'm a size 6-8 on top and 8 bottom and am either an XS or S in Superdry. I'm not tiny either - 5'7.

They originated in a market stall in Cheltenham, so they're definitely not Japanese, lol.

But yes, they do come up small. I'm a 6-8 on top with a pea head and I struggle with the neck holes on the hoodies.
