Shoe crisis

I am going to a fairly smart daytime event on Thursday and am wearing a floral midi dress - black background, flowers in red, pink, yellow, violet. I want a pair of shoes that is special enough to feel glamorous but will enable me to walk and stand on grass. I will take a pair of flats in my bag so I won't be reliant on them for long distances but I want them to be comfortable enough not to be thinking all the time about how much my feet hurt.
Any suggestions? Size 38.5, budget flexible.

I love flat sandals with a maxi & these are fab & go with everything:

A pair of lowish block heeled sandals or mules. I have these and have worn them a lot

Those are really lovely! I'm going to buy them but I don't think they're quite special enough for Thursday. Actually I want them in every colour.

They also come in yellow, which i'm tempted by and are in the sale now

I like those a lot too, knockered, but they don't have them in my size. I had a vey similar pair from Dune in black satin in 1999.

How about something like these?

Or a couple of pairs of yellow wedges
