Denim culottes

They look nice on the models but what are they like in reality? Can you wear them other than summer? What footwear? Are the best with cropped top? (No go for me)! What good buys can you recommend?

I have denim culottes on today. They’re easy to wear but the tricky thing is to get the length right. I have to have mine shortened as am only 5ft 3. Also depending on the shoe height the best length is slightly variable. I have M&S dark denim culottes and wear them with relaxed cotton jumpers or Linen t shirts and definitely no cropped tops. Currently wearing with flat loafer mules and a cuffed hem. For espadrille wedges I will wear with the hem down.

Thinking these? See pic. Boden. I am tall 5'10" so years of having too short trousers - now finally they seem to be in fashion. Just not sure if I can pull the look off or if it will be 'in' for long if I spend out on them!

I wear mine with white Stan Smiths or sandals, t shirt or cotton jumper, I find them very useful.

I really like those rainy. I wear a lot of culottes (also usually with Stan Smiths, black or white, sometimes brogues, and always with a tucked in top or something whuch sits on the waistband) and am after some denim ones. All the denim pairs I’ve tried on have been really stiff and not very flattering.
