Old vs new style plus &other stories sizing

Have seen a couple of tops I'm &other stories sale I like. I've never bought from them before so what's sizing like? I am usually oddly ok in H&M - am a 12/14 and fit in a m or a s. Both tops are wrap tops in style so not fitted but not stretchy so should I go for the 14 equivalent?

If I go for them at all that is. I used to be much bigger and wrap styles were my go to as I am an hourglass/pear with a post pregnancy lower abdomen so they gave me a shape without clinging. Now I am still that same shape but 4 sizes smaller. My style is a bit different - much more pared back and less flouncy. I am short (but not small iyswim) and don't have the acreage for florals anymore, they overwhelm me when they used to flatter.

But I love the tops even though they are much less me than the used to be.

Am I just harking back to what was my safety zone?

I'd always heard they were small but am just about to buy a size 34 dress when I'm normslly a size 38/10/S. It is a wrap dress so forgiving but fitted.

I find &Otherstories sizing to be all over the place. I’d order a few sizes.
