Pimple moustache

So until two days ago I always left my lip hairs be. I used to sport an awesome pale and fine moustache but I am a bit too old for it now so decided to wax it off at home. Bought the basic vest wax strips, pulled all the hair out. All good. Next morning work up to a couple of tiny pimples on my lip. Odd but whatever. Today I have a full on moustache of tiny pimples. Just WTAF? Is this normal?

Yeah! When I have my eyebrows threaded you get a free moustache thread. Only did it once! I had a pimple moustache for days ...

Probably folliculitis. I had the exact same thing after threading. Never had threading again after that! It was so uncomfortable and much worse than the barely visible hairs.

That’s why they put the cooling gel stuff on in the salon.

Don’t put anything on that stings. Arnica may take the redness out. Next time use something with salicylic acid in it afterwards.

Pimples that pop up within 24 hours are usually a histamine reaction to the trauma - I used to end up a spotty mess after chin/lip threading but I’m fine as long as I take an anti histamine afterwards. It takes a few days for bacterial spots to develop.

Don't moisturise for a while after waxing...just keep the skin clean.
