To save some money I think I'll give it a try. What brand shall I go for? Underarm/Bikini/Legs

Not trying to put you off, but its quite difficult to get the angle right to pull the wax off on yourself.

I know! But I can't afford expensive wax right now. Thought I give it a try see if it works. Prepared for the worst such as bruises etc but not going on holiday for another 6 weeks so if the worst happens it should heal by then also can see how long my home wax would last so can time it right for holidays. So please any tips or brands to suggest?

Are you a long term habitual waxer of those areas?

I once tried a home bikini wax. My gosh it hurt. I wimped out and had to get in the shower to wash the wax off in the end Blush

I have had it waxed before yes then since Xmas I have been using the razor. Honestly I know it will hurt but can I please have some suggestions for brands rather than telling me it will hurt. Ps washing wax with water sounds odd why didn't you try baby wipes or I think the strips would come with a wipes? I think ...

I like the best oriental wax that comes in a tub. much better than any pre waxed strips iv tried and the strips are washable

For legs and underarms I use the wax strips - not particularly loyal to any brand although Veet seem to be on offer most often.

Tried NADS wax and the strips for bikini but just couldn't get the angles as a PP said.

Don't know about brands these days, but for bikini bring your leg up to the top of your thigh, and outwards, on the side you are waxing, so you get a 'stretch'. Your leg should be touching your thigh all the way along. On your underarms, put your hand on the back of your head, and bring your arm back, again to get the stretch. Hope that makes sense.

Quick update. I just done my underarm bikini and legs with veet oriental wax and it was GREAT! Very little pain and happy with the results- I did need to use tweezers for the odd hair but that's it. Thanks @NoFucksImQueen :)

ah I'm so glad it worked well. it's definitely my favourite. it used to go on offer a lot at Superdrug so keep an eye out and you can stock up =)

Ooh well done ! I had a dreadful experience trying to wax my bikini line - nearly glued my flaps together 😂 😂

Buy an epilator. Its going to codt more at first but will save ££££ in the long run, plus you can have smooth legs without waiting to grow back. It hurts less than waxing but takes longer.

Braun silk epil. Try it. Dont need super expensive bells and whistles one.
